Friend of Big Wood Lake

Property owners, recreational lake users and lake area businesses are also encouraged to become a “Friend of Big Wood Lake”. Our “Friends” group began in 2006 to give members and recreational users the opportunity to donate more to the association (all donations being tax deductible because BWLA is a 501c3).  “Friends” get their names listed in the newsletter and all money goes to a dedicated fund to be used if or when the lake is faced with an environmental challenge such as an Eurasian Milfoil infestation. “Friends” are also invited to social events and encouraged to purchase clothing and flares.
